HOUSE

Kitchen: Fully stocked with plates, bowls, utensils, silverware, knives, wine opener, pots, pans, saran wrap, foil, paper towels, napkins, dish soap, dishwasher detergent. We cooked almost every meal there, and had everything we needed.

Living area couches were comfy and plenty of room for the four of us to spread out.

Air conditioning in main room and all bedrooms. Cooled very well, even during the hottest part of the day.

Beds super comfy. Crisp, new sheets and 4 fluffy pillows per bed.

Plush, new towels in every bathroom. Separate beach towels also provided.

Toiletries: Soap provided. No shampoo/conditioner provided, so bring or add to your grocery list while here. I think the shampoo we got in our grocery order was $3 for a 12 oz. bottle.

SNORKELING

Snorkeling off the dock was truly phenomenal! All you have to do is walk out the door and jump in! The water is so warm!

And it’s not just a fish here or there. During our stay we snorkeled at least an hour 2-3 times a day - it was that fabulous! We saw parrots, angelfish, butterfly fish,  lionfish, eagle rays, eels, and many other colorful fish as well as beautiful coral including huge fans and brain coral.

We brought our own masks, fins, and snorkels. If you are diving, you can probably work out a deal to keep them between dives.

Come on! Jump on in!

FOOD

The island only receives food deliveries a few times a week. Don’t expect extensive choices you may find at your major grocer. But the basics are usually available, like pastas, cereals, rice, pancake mix, coffee, milk, juices, eggs, and ground beef. Some fresh fruit (bananas, pineapple, watermelon, mangos) and some basic vegetables (carrots, tomatoes, lettuce) are fairly available. Others may be hard to find or past their prime. For example, red peppers were already shriveling but still good enough to saute into pasta and scrambled eggs. But broccoli was already rotting so we didn’t buy it. You can check out our grocery list and menu HERE.

You can order groceries in the morning, and a few hours later they’re delivered by boat right to your dock. Keep in mind a minimum order is required so you may need to plan a few meals ahead.

You can also have fresh, filet fish delivered right to the dock.

DIVING

If you’re a diver, highly rec’d Anke at We-Dive Utila. So impressed with ver 6 dives and 1 night dive.  Thankful for the air conditioning at night in the rooms, and occasionally ran it during the day in the kitchen/living area.

PHONE/WIFI

A local phone is provided with many phone numbers pre-loaded, such as the grocery, boat captain, and dive shop.
