Hometown Holiday Walk!
Friday night was the annual Holiday Walk along our quaint, one-road downtown.
Even though it was a balmy, negative 10 degrees (as in 10 degrees below zero), mountain folks didn't let the temps stop them. They just bundled up- little ones in their oversized snow bibs, Moms in red mittens, Dads in Santa hats. No one let a little cold keep them away from kicking off the holiday! Or from Santa!
Santa and Mrs. Claus were toasty warm inside Evergreen National Bank. As families waited in line to see the big guy, I signed books and my daughter sold calendars to benefit the Mt. Evans Home Health & Hospice. (An amazing non-profit!)
When the temps dipped even lower and Santa started packing up his sleigh, my kids gave Santa a present- his very own copy of The Night Before Christmas in Ski Country!
He and Mrs. Claus were so grateful someone gave them a gift. Look at those wonderful smiles!
I absolutely LOVE my small town. :)
